Background
I'm a professional web developer with an Honours Bachelor of Technology - Software Development (Co-op). I'm experienced with full stack web development using technologies such as Laravel, Vue, TailwindCSS, Bootstrap5, jQuery, JavaScript, TypeScript, and MySQL. I have developed web applications on the Unix family of operating systems (particularly Debian and Ubuntu) in addition to macOS and Windows operating systems.
With my most recent role, I was a Full Stack Web Developer on the Special Integrations Team of WhoPlusYou. During my time at WhoPlusYou, I used the Laravel web framework to develop and maintain features on the Magnet Job Board website. jQuery, Bootstrap4, Vue, and TailwindCSS were used for front-end. MySQL and Redis were used as the storage solution and caching service, respectively. While at WhoPlusYou, I transformed the existing features of Magnet Job Portal into a Single Page Application (SPA) using Inertia.js and Vue for improved user experience and streamlined development. I implemented responsive design and accessibility tags in the front-end to ensure compatibility across devices and platforms, resulting in a seamless user experience. I refactored the back-end code for efficiency and resolved bugs. I also developed PHPUnit tests for API endpoints to increase code coverage and reduce errors in beta and production, increasing developer productivity.
